Evalyn E. Wood, 86, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, in her home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Gateway Baptist Church with Rev. Tunis Schuurman and Rev. Billy Ray Lewis, both officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Wood was born on March 31, 1915, and was a native of Hedley. She was Borger resident for 42 years and member of Gateway Baptist Church and Rebekah Lodge. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.W. "Lou" Wood on Dec. 12, 1993, a grandson, Michael Tucker in 1996, a great-grandson, Austin Tucker in 1989 and a great-great-grandson, Trent Morgan in 2001.

Services include three daughters, Kay Reece of Borger, Peggy Lewis of Huntsville, Ark. and Jan Jones of Ft. Collins, Colo.; one sister, Maggie Ruth Johnston of McLean; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
