SPEARMAN - Funeral services for John Henry Campbell, 85, a resident of the Holt Community since 1928, were held at 2:30 p.m. today in First Baptist Church here. The Rev. Bill Shoemake officiated.

Burial was in Holt Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Campbell, who died about 2 p.m. Saturday in Hansford Hospital, was a retired farmer and rancher.

A native of Keechi Tex., he moved to the Holt Community from Greer County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spearman and Hansford Lodge 1040, AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mabel Jackson; a daughter Mrs. Medlin Patterson, and a son, J.H. Campbell, Jr., both of Spearman; a sister, Mrs. Allie Callcotee of Mangum, Okla.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

SPEARMAN - Mrs. Lela Mabel Campbell, 83, died Sunday.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Spearman First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Russell Pogue, pastor, and Bill Osborne, minister of the Spearman Church of Christ. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery south of Spearman by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home here.

Mrs. Campbell moved to the Spearman area about 1928 from Greer County, Okla., and was born in Edmond, Okla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church here. Her husband, John H. Campbell died in 1973.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maudine Patterson of Spearman, a son, J.H. Campbell, Jr. of Spearman; four brothers, Dan, Bud and Dee Jackson all of Spearman and Charlie Jackson of Mangum, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Crawford and Mrs. Viola Fite, both of Spearman, and Mrs. Besse Francis of Mangum; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
