Death came to one of Hutchinson county's foremost pioneer women, Mrs. Sally E. Pritchard, 69, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in a local hospital, following a short illness.

Holder of extensive oil property around Stinnett, Mrs. Pritchard came to the county in 1907 from Washita county, Okla.

She is survived by three sons [brothers], Joe Ownbey of Stinnett, Jim Ownbey of Spearman and John Ownbey of Stinnett; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Shaw of Cheyenne, Okla., Mrs. Laura Jones of Freedom, Okla.

Also mourning the death of Mrs. Pritchard, affectionately known to her many friends as "Aunt Sally" is John Holsey, whom she raised since he was 9 years old.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Holt school house, with the Rev. L.A. Sartain, Baptist minister of Stinnett, officiating.

Interment will be in Holt cemetery, beside her husband, who succumbed in 1932, under direction of the Powell Funeral Home of Borger.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Ownbey of Lubbock, Robert Ownbey of Amarillo, Ray Ownbey of Pringle, Coy Ownbey of Stinnett, Milford Shaw and Carl Shaw of Cheyenne, Okla., Ralph Bort of Gruver, June Lewis, of Borger, all nephews; and Dan Terry of Stinnett and Deb Kirk of Panhandle.
