AMARILLO - Mary Lamb Smith, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 1996 in Northwest Texas Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holt Cemetery with Zeb Sailors, minister of the Stinnett Church of Christ, officiating.
Mrs. Smith will lie in state at Brown's Memorial Chapel in Stinnett until service time.
Burial will be by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
She was a native of Hemphill County, and had been an Amarillo resident for 65 years. She was a retired bookkeeper, and member of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo.
Mary Lamb Ownbey married Jack E. Smith of July 13, 1941. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1980.
Survivors include a brother, Ray Ownbey of Stinnett; two sisters, Beulah Ben Bort of Gruver; and Ona Faye Watkins of Spearman.
Memorial may be made to High Plains Children's Home, 1501 W 58th, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
The family will be staying at the home of Eual and Jean Chisum, 807 Davis, Stinnett.
