*Obituary for Leroy
LeRoy A. Geoffroy, 74, former longtime Borger and Stinnett resident, died Wednesday at his home in San Bernardino, Calif.

A retired farmer, Geoffroy had moved to California in 1940. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in San Bernardino, before the body is returned to Borger. Final rites will be held in the First Christian Church here at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor, will officiate.

Interment in Lieb Cemetery at Stinnett will be under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.

Casketbearers are Dale Conner, Don Chambless, Roy Lee Uptergrove, W.C. Pool, Tom Holt, Franz Ferguson.

Surviving are the widow, Alice a son, L.E. Geoffroy of Amarillo; five daughters, Mrs. L.K. Conner of Borger, Mrs. Henry Hoff, Stinnett, Mrs. A.L. Parks, Pringle, Mrs. Pauline Bland, Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Joan Bergner, Lancaster, Calif.; brother, Otie Geoffroy of Long Beach, Calif., sister, Mrs. Ada Finley, Abilene, Kan.; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

AMARILLO - Services for Mrs. Alice Josephine Geoffroy, 84, were at 11 a.m. today in the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. James Carroll, minister, officiating.

Services were at 3 p.m. in Lieb Cemetery with the Rev. Winfred Walker, a Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Geoffroy died Sunday. She was born in Iowa and came to Amarillo in 1967. She was an electronics engineer at Norton Air Force Base until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, five daughters including Mrs. Ardith Connor of Borger; a sister, 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
