Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church of Morse for Mrs. Nan Henderson, pioneer resident of this area. Rev. Hankins, pastor of the Morse Methodist church officiated at the services, assisted by two visiting ministers, who were friends of the family. Interment was made in the Lieb cemetery.

Death came suddenly to Mrs. Henderson Sunday night following a heart attack brought on by a recent attack of asthma. However, she was apparently feeling much improved Sunday and was enjoying a visit from her daughter, Mrs. Jack McGee of Chillicothe.

The Henderson’s came to this part of the Panhandle in 1905 and have been continuous residents throughout the years. They were the parents of eight children, six of whom are living and making their homes in the Panhandle.

Mrs. Henderson, who would have been eighty-five in July was preceded in death by her husband in Nov. 1914, one son, Alva of Morse, who died three years ago and one daughter, Mrs. Gif Harding of Wheeler, about eighteen months ago.

Tom Henderson is the only one who lives in this city. Others are, Lloyd Henderson of Pringle, Mrs. Roy McNutt of Morse, Mrs. Tom Mills, Mrs. J.D. Mills and Mrs. Jack McGee of Chillicothe. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
