STINNETT, Sept. 29 - Rites were held here recently for Robert Caldwell McNutt, 96-year-old pioneer Hutchinson County resident.
Mr. McNutt, who was born in 1845 in Knoxville, Tenn., came to Texas in his early 20's and joined the Texas Rangers. He served with that organization for many years under Capt. June Peak.
In 1891 he was married to Elizabeth Wells and 10 years later they moved to Hutchinson County to make their home. Mrs. McNutt died 16 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Roy and Kenneth McNutt of Morse; two step-daughters, Mrs. Carrie Cotter, Spearman, and Mrs. Mittie Stevenson of Stinnett; and three granddaughters, Rena, Jean and Leta McNutt.
