Jimmie Eugene Roby, 65, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Bible Baptist Church, 10 Elm Dr., in Dumas with the Rev. Tracy Roby, his son, and the Rev. Jerry Clark of the church, officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Leeb Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mr. Roby was born in GeWitt and moved to Amarillo in 1989 from Lubbock. He was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church and was a petroleum truck driver.
He married Shirley Parks in 1953 at Borger.
Survivors include his wife; a son, the Rev. Tracy Roby of Hobbs, N.M.; two daughters Teri Marion of Dumas and Sheri Daves of Skellytown; a sister, Joyce Jean Price of Stinnett; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Arden Road Baptist Church Tape Ministry, 6701 Arden Road, Amarillo, TX 79109.
