*Obituary
BORGER - Orvel G. Roby, 74, died Thursday, March 16, 2000.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Faith Baptist Church in Fritch with the Rev. Don Rice, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Roby was born in Vernon and had been a Borger resident since 1939. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was employed as a truck driver for G.P. Guinn Inc. and was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Fritch.
He married Ida Owen in 1989 at Fritch. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Danny Dixon, in 1995.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Alfred Brown of Amarillo and Clarence Brown of Palestine; two stepsons, Jimmie Dixon of Morris, Ill., and Gary Dixon of Liberty; three stepdaughters, Linda Tippens of Etoile, Martha McKinnis of Sanford and Joyce Jackson of Liberty; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
