STINNETT - Services for Mrs. Ida Parks Thompson, 81, of Waco, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Fuller and the Rev. Mert Cooper, officiating.
Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery by Alexander Funeral Directors in Stinnett.
Mrs. Thompson died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday in Waco.
A native of Coryell County, she was a Hutchinson County pioneer, moving to the Pringle-Morse Community in 1904 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Parks. She had lived in the Stinnett area for several years before moving to Waco 46 years ago.
Mrs. Thompson was a housewife, a member of First United Methodist Church in Waco, where she was an active member of the choir and WSCS. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall B. of Waco; one son Curtis Marable of Stinnett; one stepson, Marshall B. Thompson Jr. of Turkey; one daughter, Willa Deane Gates of Baytown; one sister, Mrs. Nora Groves of Pringle-Mosre community; two granddaughters, Anne Marable to Stinnett and Deana Marable of Dallas.
