Henry Yake, 61, died Sunday morning at 7:07 a.m. at his home 11 miles southwest of Stinnett.
He had been a resident of the same address since 1902.
A pioneer rancher in the area, he owned considerable land in Hutchinson County. He was born in Oklahoma in 1898.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Laster; three sons, William, Ira, and Cal, all of Stinnett; four daughters, Mary Eskin, Louise, Marjorie, and Marsha Kay, also of Stinnett; a brother, Albert Yake of Alanreed; two sisters, Samantha Walter of Lockney and Rose Yake of Tucumcari, N.M.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist Church of Stinnett. Rev. Paul Baugh will officiate, assisted by Rev. George A. Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Paul Jarvis, R.E. Robertson, Roy Thompson, C.A. Gigner, Dr. C.P. Dill, W.M. Lieb, Epps Brown, and E.J. Copeland. Members of the Hutchinson County Pioneers are honorary pallbearers.
Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery under the direction of Minton Funeral Home.
