FRITCH - Charles Arthur "C.A." Atkinson, 73, died Saturday, August 23, 1997 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with the Rev. Lloyd Stice, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Fritch, officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
A native of Sperry, Okla., he came to Fritch 13 years ago. He married Geraldine Cole on Dec. 15, 1950 in Clayton, N.M.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, serving in the European Theater.
Mr. Atkinson worked for CIG for 34 years as a plant operator.
He had been a member of Beaver, Okla. V.F.W. and a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine of the home; three sons, Larry of Norman, Okla., Steve of Liberal, Kan. and Phillip of Fritch; two daughters, Jeannie Dudley of Fritch and Marty Chapa of Fritch; one sister, Doreen Todd of College Station; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch.
Casketbearers will be Jack Wright, Mike Lucero, Luke Lucero, Mark Berinti, Lloyd Rinker and Danny Broadfoot.
Honorary casket bearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class.
