BORGER - Bessie M. Bartel, 78, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Keeler Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Austin of Palo Duro Baptist Church in Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Brown Funeral Directors is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Bartel was a housewife and a member of Keeler Baptist Church. She was a Moultrie, Ga., native who had lived in Borger for 62 years.
She married Arlin Bartel in 1977 in Borger.
Survivors include her husband, Arlin; two sons, Charles Ray Hampton of Chehalis, Wash., and Kenneth Arlin Bartel of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Karen Bradshaw of Harvey, La., and Barbara Poindexter of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a brother, Dennis Weeks of Denham Springs, La.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
