PLAINVIEW - William Bell, 97, died Sunday, April 12, in Plainview.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Richard Kasko, minister at the Church of Christ at Borger, officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casket bearers were Dale Gallaspy, Clarence McGehee, Fred McAnally, and Don Tindall.

Mr. Bell was a native of Mt. Pleasant and a former Borger resident. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Before retiring, he was a shift foreman for Columbian Carbons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, in 1997; his son, Billy Bell in 1997; and one grandson, Mike in 1997.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Doris Jean Bell of Borger; one grandson, Gary Bell of Tyler; granddaughter-in-law, Paula Bell of Plainview; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
