FRITCH - Ollie Leon "Pinky" Betts, 72, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fritch First Assembly of God with the Rev. Justin Unwin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Pinky was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Highway, N.M., to Lee and Georgia Betts. He married Velma Lee Allsup on April 15, 1981, in Seminole.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Roger Betts of Borger, Rodney Betts of Pampa and Clifford Baileys and wife Vanessa of Edmund, Okla., four daughters, Gay LaDawn Betts and husband Raymond of Borger, Linda Bentley and husband Bill of Amarillo, Barabara Pryor and husband Joe of Burleson and Glenna Pool and husband Bryan of Perryton; a brother, Richard Betts of Hobbs, N.M.; three sisters, Lorena Roberts of Wilmer, Betty Merrell of Portales, N.M., and Ora McAfee of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchlidren.

The family suggests memorials be to Fritch First Assembly of God Building Fund or Food Bank, P.O. Box 1494, Fritch, TX 79036.

Velma Lee Betts, 78, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, April 20, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Fritch, with Pastor Justin Unwin, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to the First Assembly of God Building Fund, PO Box 1494, Fritch, Texas, 79036.

Velma was born July 17, 1936 in Slick, Oklahoma to Clyde and Velma Alsup. She married Ollie Leon Betts April 15, 1981 in Seminole, Texas. Velma enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening. She was a true servant who loved giving her time to the church.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Leroy Baileys, Ollie Leon Betts; sister, Leatrice Nunamaker; and brother, Tommy Alsup.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bentley and husband, Bill of Amarillo, Barbara Pryor and husband, Joe of Burleson, Glenna Pool and husband, Bryan of Perryton; son, Clifford Baileys and wife Vanessa of Edmond, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, Clyde Alsup and wife Barbara of Bristow, Oklahoma, Johnny Alsup and wife Marilyn of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters, Donna Pinkey and husband Vernon of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Connie McCullough and husband Reid of Bristow, Oklahoma; and a host of extended family.
