Funeral services for Glenn Kenneth Birdsong, 62, of 105 Hood, in Phillips, a longtime area resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Central Baptist Church.

The Rev. Loe [sic] McMahan, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dan Gillum, J.C. Mears, Dean Edwards, James Stowers, Robert Goetzinger, S.J. Hall, Larry Baltzer and Jim Blackmon.

Mr. Birdsong, died Saturday afternoon in Sayre, Okla., after suffering an apparent heart attack enroute to Ft. Smith, Ark.

He came to Phillips from Beaver, Okla., in 1943, and was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. until 1968 when he retired.

A native of Lapel Ind., he was born Dec. 25, 1909.

Mr. Birdsong [sic] was a Methodist.

Survivors are his wife, Louise; two sons, Gary of Sparks, Nev., and Walter of Gatesville; a brother, G.W. of Poteau, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Tillie Hart of Poteau, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Louise Birdsong, 67, of 521 Lee St., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. A.J. Holster of Collegeview Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

She was a native of Beaver, Okla., and an area resident for 39 years. She was a retired Phillips Petroleum clerk after serving 35 years.

Mrs. Birdsong was a member of the First Christian Church in Beaver; she was also a member of the Jane Phillips Sorority.

She is survived by two sons, Gary of Sun Walley [sic], Nev., and Walter of Honolulu; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be W.E. Jenkins, J.C. Mears, Bill Lee, Kenny Yelton, Don Creascy [sic] and W.O. Gentzel.
