BORGER - Mary Ruth Ballew Botkin, 87, formerly of Borger, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, in Dripping Springs.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church in Borger with the Rev. Don Sheppard of Arizona officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
On Sept. 14, 1944, Mrs. Botkin married her "Navy pilot," Jack Botkin. She returned to the work force once her youngest child started school and worked as a registered nurse at the North Plains Hospital Emergency Room in Borger.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Botkin and Craig Botkin; two daughters, Judy Ambrosio and Becky Botkin; a sister, Nancy Young; a brother, David Ballew; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Grace Hospice of Austin, 7800 Shoal Creek Blvd., Austin, TX 78757.
