AMARILLO - Buck Buckley, 88, died Monday, Oct. 5, in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Mr. Dick Marcear, minister of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors.

Casket bearers will be Buckley's grandsons.

Mr. Buckley was a native of Doniphan, Mo., and a Borger resident from 1938 to 1983. He then moved to Amarillo. He was a retired owner of Buckley Shoe Store in Borger. He married Ruby Anderson on June 25, 1933, in Seminole, Okla.

He married Ruby Anderson on June 25, 1933 in Seminole, Okla. He was a member of Central Church of Christ of Amarillo, former president of Borger Chamber of Commerce, former Borger City Commissioner and a 45 year member of Borger Noon Lions Club and a member of the Knife and Fork Club.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Slater and Sylvia Hall.

Survivors include his wife Ruby; one son, Stewart Buckley of Amarillo; one daughter, Norma Sallee of Amarillo; two sisters, Eunice Snyder of Jinks, Okla. and Avanelle Schuessler of Nacoma; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ruby A. Buckley, 92, of Amarillo, formerly of Borger, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains in Borger with Neville Buchanan and Joel Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Buckley was born Aug. 1, 1912, in Stonewall, Okla. She was a fifth grade teacher at Davy Crockett Elementary for 31 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Buckley Sallee of Rockwall; two brothers, W. Jack Anderson of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Joe W. Anderson of Independence, Mo.; a sister, Bobbye J. Simpson of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
