*Obituary
Mrs. Mary Cornett, 78, 700 Moody, died Monday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.
A homemaker, she was a native of Logan, N.M., and a Borger resident for 47 years.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Kilowatt Extension Homemakers Demonstration Club, Borger Ceramic Club and St. John's Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; one son, Dan Cornett of Canadian; two daughters, Mary Lou Ernest and Carol Ann Herbst, both of Fritch; two sisters, Annie Cornett of Amarillo and Gaviana Griego of Las Vegas, New Mexico; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mary Romero and Clifford Cornett were married June 6, 1932 at Tucumcari, N.M.
Rosary services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Richard Neyer of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Groom, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
