*Obituary for M. R. “Ray”
Funeral services for Marcus Ray Crockett, 58, of Phillips, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church at Phillips with Rev. Jack Ellsey, pastor, officiating. Crockett died at 2:15 a..m. Saturday, at North Plains Hospital.

He was born August 14, 1921, in Delaware, Okla., and came to the Borger area in 1944 from Bartlesville, Okla.

He was a stillman for Phillips Petroleum Company, NGL Department. He was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church, and a member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355.

Survivors include the wife, Dormilee, of South Oberfell; a son, Billy Ray, of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Mike Webb, Phillips, and Mrs. Roby Tucker, Amarillo; a brother, Robert, of Vinita, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Una Overman, Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Ruth Scott, Michigan City, Ind., and three grandchildren.

Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.

Graveside rites will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355. Pallbearers will be W.D. Brittain, Bill Owen, Bill Phillips, Don Beene, Phil Noland and Clarence Parker.

All Masons are asked to be at the Adobe Walls Lodge Hall at 1 p.m. Monday.

BORGER - Dormilee Crockett, 81, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Weldon Rives officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Crockett was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Childers, Okla. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Billy Crockett of Hereford, Ariz.; two daughters, Kay Reagh and Carol Tucker, both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Hi Plains Helping Hand, 517-B W. Jefferson, Borger, TX 79007.
