ARLINGTON—Rose Marie Barry Alford, 78, a retired contract officer for General Services Adminstration, died Friday, July 25, 1997, in Dallas. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Park Cities Baptist Church. Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Chaplain Wayne McClellan will officiate

Rose Marie Barry Alford was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Spokane, Wash.
She was an active member of Park Cities Baptist Church for 45 years. She was a Charter founder of the Century Garden Club. She was a member of the Echo Book Club, the Variety Book Club and a member of the Dallas Baptist University Womens Board. She was also a Scottish Rite Volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Daniel Barry and Leon Johnson Alford.
Survivors: Son, Wayne Paul Barry and wife, Carolyn; daughter, Beverly Ann Haagen and husband, Peter; grandsons, Craig Daniel Barry, Michael Wayne Barry and wife, Kim, James Patrick Barry, Bradley Wayne Haagen, Christopher Lars Haagen; granddaughter, Heather Marie Haagan; sister, Alma Schmidt of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Member of Park Cities Baptist Church, B Square Mens Class, 22 years Civil Service, 11 years Active Military Army as a Master Sargent.
Services, 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Ellis Chapel of the Park Cities Baptist Church, Rev. Clyde Bizzell officiating. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Park.
