MacIver, Jr., Ernest Duncan MacIVER, ERNEST DUNCAN, JR. 90, Born June 21, 1918, went to be with the Lord March 30, 2009. A Dallas Business and Civic Leader and the son of Ernest MacIver and Elsie Swanson. His wife, Melzia Chronister, and brother Donald MacIver precede him death. Survived by his son, Robert MacIver & wife Anita of Dallas; son Gregory MacIver & wife Pam, granddaughter, Amy, of Aurora, CO, 5 step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brother Dale MacIver of Washington D.C., & sister Ruth MacIver, Santa Clara, CA,. He graduated U. of Minn. '43 & the US Navy Midshipman School, Notre Dame Univ. '44. Served aboard the admiral's flagship cruiser USS Montpelier as a Lt. Radar officer and Fighter Director Officer '44-'45. Received CPA in '45. Moved to Dallas in '49. Past Pres. Civil Service Board, City of Dallas; Past VP North Dallas Chamber; Past Pres. Brookhollow Rotary Club; Charter Member & Rotarian of the Year Prestonwood Rotary Club; Past Pres. Scottish Society; Active in Republican Party: Chm of GOP Precinct, Dallas County Convention & Sgt-at-Arms at National GOP Convention. Pres. Dallas Chapter Texas Society of CPA's '82-'83, CPA of the Year '79. Awarded Honorary Fellow TSCPA '84. Public Service Award TSCPA & Amer. Institute of CPA's '89. Past Nat'l Dir. & Past Pres. Dallas Chap. Nat'l Assn. of Accountants & Past Pres. Of Dallas Chap,; Highland Park Presbyterian Church, former Trustee and Treasurer. Memorials to World Vision Int'l. Services Sat., April 4, 2:00pm, Sparkman Hillcrest Chapel, Dallas. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
