Mary Jane Farr, 91, of Irving, Texas, formerly of Borger, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Irving. Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, at the Faith Covenant Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mary was born March 6, 1924 in Slick, Ok to John and Blanche Hildebrant. She married Walter Edward Farr on September 11, 1949 in Bartlesville, OK. They came to Borger on January 31, 1968. She was an executive secretary for the Superintendent at BISD and the worked at the Panhandle Bank and Trust. Mary served on the board of Tri City Community Concert for many years and the early voting of Hutchinson County and Borger for many years. Mary was a very active member of Faith Covenant Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Farr in 2009, her parents, John Hildebrant and mother Blanche Hildebrant Longtoft; her step-father W.G. Longtoft; sisters, Dorothy Murphy, Frances Delano and Joanna Barrett.

Survivors include her two daughters, Janice Piersall and husband, Mickey of Irving, TX, and Joy Powell and husband, John of Houston; sister, Martha Aggas of Perscott Valley, AZ.; grandchildren, Matt Piersall of Austin, Alison Williams and husband, Dave of Conway, AR, Tyler Piersall of San Francisco, CA, Mark Powell of Austin, Mary Cannell and husband, John of Houston, Megan Moffitt and husband, Kirk of Fort Worth; and five great-grandchildren.
