Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Faires, 51, were to be at 2 p.m. today in the Rix Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R. S. Watkins, associate minister of the Forrest Heights Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was to be in City of Lubbock Cemetery.
Mrs. Faires died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary’s Hospital where she had been a patient for five days. She and her husband resided at 34th St. and Ave. H.
Pallbearers were to be Joe Royce Matlock of Lovington, Spence Hufstedler, Terrell DeLavan, Jimmy Roden, M. H. McMaster and George Wood.
Mrs. Faires moved to Lubbock five years ago from Lamesa. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Lamesa.
Survivors are her husband, Mansel Faires; one son, Lee, of 3401 44th St.; one daughter, Mrs. Neil DeLavon of 4208 58th St.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hoskins of Tahoka; three brothers, J. B. Hoskins Jr. of Lubbock; Jack Hoskins of O'Donnell and C. W. Hoskins of Lamesa and four grandchildren.
