Dorothy Boehm Knauf, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Memorial Service - Noon Friday in the Chapel at Sparkman/Hillcrest in Dallas Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, 6121 E. Lovers Lane, Dallas Texas 75214 or any other charity of your choice. Dorothy was born January 8, 1921 in Riesel Texas to Anna Berg and Julius Boehm. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Dallas Texas. She met and married Walter Knauf in 1942 in Riesel Texas. She worked many years for the family of Cloyce Box. Her husband, Walter, her parents, and her brother Emmett Boehm and sister-in-law Mildred preceded her in death. Survivors - Niece Margaret Humphrey and husband Skip, nephew Ralph Boehm and wife Debra, grandniece Courtney Mench and grandnephew Ryan Boehm, loving friend and caregiver Lee Kinchen. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Nana's Personal Assistance who lovingly cared for Dorothy for the past three years and Covenant Care Hospice for their care and empathy in her last weeks.
