FRITCH -- Rex Gray, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains in Borger with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church, and the Rev. Paul Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger.

Mr. Gray was a gas accounting department manager for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. He was a member of Lions Club in Bartlesville, Okla., and Phillips. He married Aleta Thurman on Dec. 12, 1936, in Levelland.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Nathaniel Gray in 1931 and Lester Glenn Gray in 2000.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy Rex Gray and wife, Cheryl, of Conroe and Jackie Elvin Gray and wife, Anita, of Alpharetta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tammy Gray Booth and husband, Archie, Jackie Wayne Gray and wife, Margie, James Bradley Gray and wife, Erika, and Jeffrey B. Gray and wife, Michelle; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Gray, Jared Gray, Colton Gray and Chandler Gray; two nephews, Dwayne Gray of Lubbock and Jerry Gray of Katy; and extended family members Dennis and Lynette Howell and girls of Fritch.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
