Barbara Rhodes Bartosh, 66, of Bellmead, Texas, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at her residence. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at St. Mary Cemetery in Penelope, Texas, with Chaplain Ron Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 9, at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Barbara was born in Madera, Calif., to the late Frank and Edna (McDonald) Rhodes. She owned and operated Oak Lawn Beauty Shop in Bellmead for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos in Louisiana and Las Vegas, spending time camping and fishing and was a member of Geneva Hall in Elm Mott.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donny Elston; a granddaughter, Tammy Elston; a step-grandson, Buddy Adamson; and brother, Marvin Rhodes.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Henry Bartosh, of Bellmead; sons, James Elston and wife, Debbie, of Axtell and David Elston and wife, Twila, of Leroy; stepdaughter, Brenda Simons and husband, Burlie, of Putnam; stepson, Richard Bartosh and wife, Diane, of Bellmead; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; twin sister, Betty Smith, of Aquilla; brother, Howard Rhodes and wife, Bertha, of Kaufman; and several nieces and nephews.
