Beloved disciple of the Master Teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all, born in Pecan Gap, Texas, June 29th, 1931 and died March 7, 2013. The daughter of Rev. J.P. Fleming and Lucille Fleming, Nell grew up traversing the Methodist Church circuit with her parents in Greenville, Garland, Gainesville, and Terrell. Nell graduated from Terrell High School and North Texas State College. During college she met the love of her life, Dr. Ted Boone. They were married 58 years.
Nell was a devoted wife, exceptional mom, and active in her church family, where she sang in the choir and served in the UMW. Nell relished “digging in the dirt” and was a wondrous gardener.
Nell joins her parents, brothers and several sisters-in-law, her beloved husband, Ted, and their daughter, Becky Boone Stephens in glory.
She is survived by her sons: Dr. Tim Boone and wife Angela of Sugar Land, TX, Rev. Dr. Keith Boone and wife Dianne of Sachse, TX, and son Carl Boone and wife Gina of Keller, TX. Nell was a much adored “Momo” to her twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister Alice Stultz of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will celebrate the life and love of Nell at Kessler Park UMC on Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 pm, Dr. Tim McLemore officiating.
