Obituary for Carlos
Memorial services for Carlos Vargas (Garza), will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Pastor Linda Villarreal officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Vargas was born on September 27, 1927 in Mexico to Claudia (Garza) and Andres Vargas. He married Dominga Alvarado in Texas and worked in the oilfield. He was an intelligent. hardworking handyman who always enjoyed working. He also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and traveling in his younger years. Carlos was a great father and will be missed greatly.
Carlos Vargas passed away in Mexico Friday, November 20, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, one daughter, one grandson, four brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by four sons, Juan Vargas and wife Beatrice, Joe Vargas and wife Leslie, Israel Vargas, all of Andrews, Texas, and Ebrardo Vargas and wife Carmen of Seminole, Texas; four daughters, Maria Vargas of Greeley, Colorado, Lucilla Vargas of San Antonio, Texas, Oralia Vargas of Midland, Texas, and Imelda Del Rio and husband Jose of Andrews, Texas; one sister, Lucilla Vargas of California; 50 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great grandchildren.
