Earl Thomas Gurley, 80, of Borger died Wednesday.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor, officiating.

A native of Thomas, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 45 years. He was a retired operator for Phillips Petroleum Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

He married Opal Pauline Rose Sept. 28, 1929 in Hobart, Okla.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Roy Gurley of Borger; two brothers, John Gurley of Clinton, Okla.; and R.E. Gurley of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Chelsea McKenzie of Littleton, Colo.; Sylvia Danford of Denver, Colo; two granddaughters, Lori and Leigh Ann Gurley, both of Borger.

The family will be staying at 2005 Hemlock.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
