ODELL, CHARLES C, "CHARLIE" Joined his heavenly father on December 3, 2007. Our darling husband, Loving Daddy, Grandaddy, Great-Grandaddy and Favorite Uncle Charlie. Charlie was born December 9, 1922, in San Antonio, TX to Mamie and Walter ODell. He attended North Dallas H.S. and SMU. Served in the Marine Corps during WWII in the South Pacific. Charlie retired as claims manager from Employers Mutual Casualty Insurance Company. Preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Raftopoulos ODell. Survived by his devoted and loving wife, Ruby Berryhill ODell; daughter, Cathy Monzingo and husband Joe; granddaughters, Natalie Monzingo and Kim Berry and husband Curtis; great-grandson, Tyler Berry who he nicknamed TTexas; nephew, Charles Claibourne and wife Kelly; niece, Sylvia Mullins; great-nieces, Dawn Carr and Amber Pappas. Butch, Kelly, Dawn and Amber, you have all been a blessing these past months. Charlies favorite expression was "Life is good, I think I just might live forever." We believe that he will through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Special thanks to Vista Hospice and especially Carol Miller for her loving and inspirational care for Daddy and all of our family. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, with the funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Gregg Purviance officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chapel in the Woods Bible Church, 3111 West Ledbetter, Dallas, TX 75233 or the charity of your choice. Dignity Memorial Sparkman Hillcrest 7405 W.
