Marjorie Carter Buhl Zappone FRISCO--Marjorie Carter Buhl Zappone led a full and productive life. She was a mother and wife, as well as an accomplished teacher, writer, musician and artist. Her intellectual interests were always balanced with love and humor. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Marjorie's name to the charity of your choice. Marge obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Southern Methodist University and Master's Degree from Texas Christian University. She was celebrated as a Notable Woman of Texas, an award-winning teacher and a published author, poet and songwriter. She also served in several churches as pianist and organist. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Walton and Ruth Carter; her husband, Joe Zappone; and her daughter, Margaret Sewell. SURVIVORS: She is survived by children, Art and Sandy Buhl, Bob and Heidi Buhl; stepchildren, Larry Zappone, Joe and Ginger Zappone, John and Lam Hall, Buffy Hall, Cindy and Rusty Brown and Barbie and Charlie Brooks; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
