Dr. George Shadid, 78, Borger, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 1994 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
A native of Dodson, he had been a Borger resident for 45 years. He was a dentist.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242 and Psi Omega Fraternity.
He married Onie D. Smith on May 4, 1941 in Sayre, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a son, Victor Mack Shadid in 1942.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Georgann Goldston of Borger; Nannette McMurry of Shawnee, Okla.; and Rhonda Shadid of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, David Shadid of Ontario, Calif.; and Don Shadid of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four sisters, Gladys Rashid of Sayre, Okla.; Zackie Wheatley of Lawton, Okla.; Madeline Cost of Riverside, Calif.; and Nita DiGiovanni of Ontario, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

BORGER - Onie Dee Shadid Hanes, 85, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor of Memorial Road and Grapevine Memorial Baptist Church in Irving, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Hanes was born June 7, 1923, in Wellington and had been a Borger resident since 1948.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Hanes; three daughters, Rhonda Shadid of Ashburn, Va., Nannette McMurry of Shawnee, Okla., and Georgann Goldston of Borger; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
