Always a favorite of the young folk, Red also had many friends among the older folk in Cameron and was considered a splendid young business man. Possessed of a sunny disposition and ready wit, he made friends of acquaintances in a short time. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Vernon G. Miles, pastor of the Baptist church. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
