Funeral services for R.M. "Dick" Hawkins, 69, of 120 Madison will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Burleson pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Hawkins died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. He was born in Commerece [sic], Tex., Aug. 29, 1906, and had been a resident of Borger since 1945.
He owned and operated Hawkins Ice Cream Company until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; two sons, Neil of Amarillo and Richard of Fort Worth; and one grandson.
Donations may be made to the heart fund.
