Obituary for Allen
Borger News Herald - August 21, 1988

A. D. "Cap" Kesterson, Sr., 74, of 1417 Primrose in Borger died Saturday, August 20, 1988 in a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Danny Trussell, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Home.

Kesterson was a retired independent oil and gas man. He was a native of Addington, Okla. and a Borger resident since 1933.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva, of the home; two sons, A.D. Kesterson, Jr. and Joe Kesterson, both of Borger; two daughters, Ann Hines of Borger and Sue Hatcher of Dallas; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Geneva
BORGER - Cora Geneva Kesterson, 87, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Sursa of Italy, Texas, and the Rev. Jim Terry, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Kesterson was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Plemons. She was a secretary for Borger Independent School District.

Survivors include two sons, A.D. Kesterson Jr. of Borger and Joe Kesterson of Amarillo; two daughters, Ann Hines of Borger and Sue Hatcher of Conroe; a brother, Joseph Brazil of Panhandle; a sister, Armene Green of Sherman; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
