Obituary for Burl
Borger News Herald - July 14, 1993

FRITCH - Burl M. Ladyman, 80, died Tuesday, July 13, 1993 in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Newton, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Speer, Okla., he had been a Fritch area resident for 52 years. He was a retired stillman at the Phillips refinery. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie L. Ladyman in 1987.

Survivors include a son, DeTraver Ladyman of Elgin; a daughter, Kay Whittington of San Antonio; a brother, Haskell Ladyman of Odessa; two sisters, Katherine Dellinger of Antlers, Okla.; and Billie Crooks of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lottie L. Ladyman, 72, 225 Buffalo Trail, Fritch, died Wednesday afternoon at her home.

A homemaker, she was a native of Bonham, Texas, and an area resident for 45 years.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Borger.

She is survived by her husband, Burl Ladyman of the home; one son, Berlyn Ladyman of Bastrop; one daughter, Kay Whittington of San Antonio; one brother, Tom T. McCandless of Amarillo; three sisters, Jean Montgomery and Willa Mae McCandless, both of Amarillo, Gladys Fly of Fritch; six grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church of Borger with Rev. Calvin Newton, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
