The Reporter, Hillsboro, Texas, May 16, 1983 - "Mrs. Armenia Waits - Mrs. Armenia Waits of Hillsboro died Thursday, May 12. She was born March 31, 1905 in Glen Rose. She moved to Hill County as a small child, where she had lived since that time. She married Dave Bennett October 18, 1930, and he preceded her in death March 14, 1940. She had worked as a nurse's aide for many years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. J. F. (Edith) Brooks of Hillsboro; one son, Gene Waits of Louisiana; three stepchildren, John Waits, Maylene Horn and Letha Nell Williamson, all of Fort Worth; one brother, Neal Biggs of Wichita Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Millie Patterson of Lamesa, Mrs. Myrtle Washer of Lubbock, Mrs. Bessie Odom of Fort Worth, Mrs. Robbie Nowlin of Muleshoe and Mrs. Pearl Bennett of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial was at the Peoria Cemetery."
