Obituary for Jewell
PAMPA - Jewell F. "Daisy" May, 90, died, Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, in Clarendon.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. John Valdez, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger.

Mr. May was a resident of Pampa for six years before moving to Borger. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in November 1979.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Nichols and Martha Baggerman, both of Pampa; a son, Jerry Don May of Clarendon; a brother, Kenneth May of Bettendorf, Iowa; two sisters, Daisy Black of Amarillo and Mavis Ludwig of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to American Heart Association, 2404 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; or BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, TX 79065.
