Cleo Wilcox Minton, 76, of Borger, died Sunday March 2, 1997 at Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Jones officiating and the Rev. Leonard Forsythe assisting.

Burial will be in the Garden of Prayer at Westlawn memorial Park.

A native of Robstown, she had been a Borger resident since 1940. She married A.M. Minton on December 23, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1964. She and her husband started their own funeral home and flower shop in 1945. Mrs. Minton, with the help of her family and many friends, kept the business running. She was a former member of the Women of Rotary and the Altrusa Club. She attended Abilene Business College and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Minton of Stinnett, Jake Minton of New Braunfels and Jim Minton of Borger; one daughter Judy Rankin of Borger; one brother Leo Wilcox of Borger; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Jerry Waggoner Foundation New Hospice of Borger.
