Funeral services for Ellen Marie Franklin, 84, of Levelland will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland, with Father Jeremy Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. Rosary service will be at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today, June 21, 2007 and Friday, June 22, 2007. She died at her residence of natural causes on Wednesday, June 20, 2007.

Ellen was born to Anton and Caroline Kuehler on March 23, 1923, in Rhineland. She married Henry Emal Franklin on Sept. 10, 1946 and had lived in Hockley County for the past 58 years. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by one daughter, Mary Walker. She is survived by five sons, Gery Franklin of Lubbock, Charles Franklin of White Oak, Bill Franklin of Pep, Dan Franklin of Smyer, and Tim Franklin of Oro Grande, Calif.; five daughters, Barbara Walker of Levelland, Betty Geisler of Sundown, Linda Sehon of Sundown, Gaynell Franklin of Levelland, and Carriebeth Berry of Sundown; two brothers, Ben Kuehler of Seymour and Al Kuehler of Rhineland; two sisters, Emma Duesterhaus of Munday and Dot Myers of Rhineland; twenty-two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
