Francis A. Olson, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Olson was born on March 24, 1921, and was native of Hay Springs, Neb. He served in the Marine Corp. during World War II. He was a Borger resident for 67 years. He married Lucille Powell on Oct. 19, 1942, in San Diego, Calif. He was journeyman carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union and Metropolitan Bowling League for over 30 years. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two sons, David Olson of Borger and Steven Olson of Pampa; one daughter, Linda Moore of Yukon, Okla.; one brother, Lloyd Olson of Vidor; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lucille Olson, 88, died Saturday July 5, 2014, at her home in Borger, Texas.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21 at Westlawn Memorial Park, Hwy 136.
Pastor Jim Yates officiating.
Mrs. Olson was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on November 23, 1925. Her family moved to Borger in 1935.
She married her husband Francis on October 19, 1942. Their marriage lasted 59 years until his death in 2001. She was a loving wife and mother. She worked beside her husband for many years in their rental property business. She also worked as a bookkeeper at First National Bank here in Borger. She was a Christian.
Survivors include two sons, Davis [sic] Olson of Borger, Steven Olson of Nederland, one daughter, Linda Moore of Yukon, Ok. She has eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
