LEAGUE CITY - Mrs. Jettye Mae Little passed from this life Monday evening, Oct. 6, 2003, in League City.
Born Jan. 25, 1909, in Sulphur, Mrs. Little had been a former resident of Hitchcock for 40 years. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Hitchcock Lioness Club and Charter Member of Hitchcock Volunteer Fire
Department Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Little will be remembered as a nurturing mother and grandmother who liked cooking, playing dominoes and canasta.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, W.C. "Mickey" Little; son, Richard "Dick" Hopkins; and daughter-in-law, Pat Hopkins.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Mark Hopkins, Myles Hopkins and Melissa Hinson; greatgrandchildren, Erik Hopkins, Kimble Hopkins, Madison Hopkins, Cheyenne May, Zachery Hinson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. David Kirkaldy officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Though a formal visitation is not scheduled, friends may sign Mrs. Little's memorial book at Hayes Funeral Home from 9-5 on Wednesday.
Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Lions Eye Bank, 6565 Fannin, Suite NC205, Houston, Texas 77027 or AMED Hospice, 2919 Palmer Hwy, Texas City, Texas 77590.
