Lu E. Perry, 87, of Borger, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in Borger. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bobby Wilson, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lu was born March 29, 1931 in Inman, Nebraska to Earl and May (Mossman) Watson. She received her Master’s Degree in Education teaching 6 years in Nebraska and one year in Perryton. She taught typing, shorthand and bookkeeping. She married Richard Perry on June 27, 1959 in Inman, Nebraska. She lived in Borger for 59 years where she was a member of First united Methodist Church and was a member of United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers William W. and Thomas R. Watson; and sister Virginia Tomlinson.

She is survived by her husband Richard; son Mike Perry and wife Michelle of Frisco, TX; daughter Joan Quist and husband Glen of Perryton, TX; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Friday, December 28.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 N McGee, Borger, Texas 79070.
