LEVELLAND - Funeral services for Maxine Dunn, 71, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Second Baptist Church in Levelland with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
She died at 6 p.m. Thursday at her home. Death was ruled natural causes by Justice of the Peace Jerry Boudreaux.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1932, in Waco. She married E. Tommy Dunn on Sept. 23, 1955, in Waco and they moved to Levelland in 1967. She was a charter member of the Marigolds, was active with the Senior Volunteer Program, and worked with the American Cancer Society where she held various offices. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and was employed at our local hospital when it was Cook Memorial Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Covenant Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.O. Bozeman; mother, Nell Hughes; stepmother, Belle Bozeman; stepfather, E.H. Hughes; and her grandparents
