MADISONVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Lee Lloyd, 80, of Madisonville, are set for 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. The Rev. Gary Ladd and the Rev. Vaughn Tatum will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock/Santa Fe. Minister O. C. Herring, Jr. will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lloyd was born on April 2, 1925, in Montgomery, West Virginia to A. E. and Mary (Devers) Anderson. She moved to Normangee in 1980 from Hitchcock and then moved to Madisonville about 4 years ago. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer with the Madison St. Joseph Health Center’s Ladies Auxiliary with 2000 hours of service. Her hobbies were reading, music, gardening and sewing.
Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, B.W. Lloyd and two sisters, Addilee Jamison and Pauline Alexander.
Surviving family, two daughters and one son-in-law, Dianne and Lonnie F. James, Jr. of Hitchcock, Texas, Barbara Carlton of Houston, Texas; one brother, Archie Anderson of Tucson, Arizona; one grandson, Lonnie F. James, III of Hitchcock, Texas; one great granddaughter, Ava Lynn James of Hitchcock, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Betty Hosea and Katherine Sandel.
Memorials may be made to the Madison St. Joseph Health Center’s Ladies Auxiliary or the First Baptist Church Library.
