LEVELLAND (Special) - Graveside services for Gertrude "Midge" Pittman, 96, of Kendall, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in City of Levelland Cemetery with the Rev. David Krause of Lubbock officiating.
Burial will be under direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
She was born Feb. 2, 1903, in Jones County, Ark. She moved to Kendall, Kan., from Fort Scott, Kan., in 1996. She married James Forrest Pittman on Dec. 6, 1923, in Lovington, N.M. He died Oct. 16, 1985. A daughter preceded her in death. She was a retired schoolteacher. She was a seamstress.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Rector of Kendall, Kan.; a brother, Glen Collum of Brownsville; a sister, Lois Pruett of Stephenville; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandson.
