SCHIFF, GEORGE LOUIS, Born May 20, 1916 in Dallas, Texas to Sam and Mary Schiff and passed away February 26, 2007 in Dallas, Texas. Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Schiff retired in 1982 as Director of Purchasing for East Texas Motor Freight Lines after 32 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Portnoy Schiff and daughter, Marcia Ann Schiff Mandell. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his daughter, Norma Schiff Wolfson; son-in-law, George Wolfson; grandson, Ryan Wolfson; brother-in-law, Herby Berkowitz; sister-in-law, Leona "Sandy" Portnoy; and numerous other family members. Graveside services 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Chaplain Nathan Kaplan, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Congregation Anshai Torah Religious School, 5501 W. Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093. Dignity Memorial Sparkman Hillcrest 7405 W. Northwest Hwy.
