ROSS, ROSY SWARTZ, born October 24, 1915, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 24, 2003, in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky. Rosy moved to Greenville, Texas at the age of 3 with her parents, Sam and Becky Swartz and graduated from Greenville Senior High School. She moved to Dallas in 1967. Rosy will always be remembered for her loving heart, ready smile, and delightful wit. The Ross family would like to thank her nurses, Elizabeth Lee and Bea Baker for their devotion and loving care they gave to Rosy. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ross; brother, Max Swartz; and sister-in-law, Naomi Swartz. Survived by her son, M. Allen Ross and wife Vickie Nikas Ross of Dallas; sister, Mollie Lipshy of Dallas; niece and nephews, Judy Gable and husband Ed, Jay S. Lipshy and wife Julie, Dr. Ronnie Swartz and wife Ellen, and Larry Swartz; and numerous other loving family members and dear friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Rabbi Gerald J. Klein officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Julius Nussbaum, John C. Henson, Dr. David Turbeville, Jim Dowell, Ron Bell, Thomas K. Bower, Leo Fields, Donald Zale, Colonel (Ret.) Nick J. Nikas, Gerald L. Ray, Joe Bock, and Alan Busch.
