Rose Borth Becker Obituary:
Rosa Borth Becker was born December 5, 1919 on the family farm near Shattuck, Oklahoma to Gustav and Rosa Behrens Borth.
Rosa was united in marriage June 2, 1940 to the neighbor boy across the field, Leroy Howard Becker. Rosa and Leroy were married for 71 years. They lived in the Follett area all their lives except for the 14 winters they spent in their home at Victoria Palms Resort in Donna, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. They also had a summer home in Red River, New Mexico for 35 years.
Rosa was a member of the First Baptist Church of Follett since 1954 where she taught Sunday School for 21 years and sang in the choir. Rosa was a member of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron and also belonged to Friends and Neighbors. She was a charter member of Newman Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies for 14 years. Rosa’s hobbies included cooking, playing Bridge, gardening and crossword puzzles, she also had 2 cookbooks published.
On June 14, 2019 Rosa Becker went to take her place in heaven. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Leroy, her parents, brothers Oscar and Bennie Borth and sister in law and brother in law Mildred and Arthur Becker. She is survived by her sister in law Lela Mae Borth, nieces Belinda Barstow and Candy Quezada and nephews Perry Borth, Steve Becker, Dan Becker and 12 grandnieces and nephews.
